Usher Confirmed For UK Summertime Ball

   
   

   
   

Tickets for Capital FM’s Summertime ball are now on general sale today, lineup announced as Rihanna, Usher, Justin Bieber, Cheryl Cole and JLS.
Last year’s Summertime Ball took place at Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium, and featured performances from Lionel Richie, JLS, Daniel Merriweather, Leona Lewis, Akon, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry – amongst many others.

The one-day pop-a-thon party of the summer will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, June 6th. Although the lineup is yet to be finalised – more acts will be announced. Internet sensation Justin Bieber will be making his first UK performance to the 55,000 pop fans at the Summertime Ball!

The Summertime Ball comes hot on the heels of Decembers Jingle Bell Ball which saw UK performances from Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga and JLS entertaining 34,000 pop fans over two sold-out nights.

The Summertime Ball supports Capital’s flagship charity, Help A London Child, with a donation of £100,000 being made from proceeds of the event. The main sponsor this year is online fashion retailer ASOS.com.

Jermaine Recruits Usher, Janet, Prince Etc. For London MJ Tribute?

 

 

Justin Timberlake, Shakira, Usher, Seal & Prince To Take Part In Michael Jackson Tribute At London’s Wembley Arena.

Jermaine Jackson has apparently gathered an all-star cast, including Prince, Justin Timberlake and Santana to pay tribute to his late brother Michael Jackson at a show in June in London.

The Tribute By Jermaine is expected to take place on June 8, 2010 at Wembley Arena in London.

Other participants include Shakira, Earth Wind and Fire, Nelson Mandela, Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston, Jabbawockeez, Seal, Neyo and a performance by the Jackson 5 with Janet Jackson.

‘The best way and most suitable way is to assemble the world’s largest tribute in history that is only fitting to a man who moved the hearts and souls of an unimaginable amount,’ Jermaine said in a statement.

The show will be filmed with 12 HD cameras and air globally on June 25, 2010.
