No Plans For Usher/Chris Brown Tour ‘At This Time’

After R&B stars Chris Brown and Usher made headlines a few weeks ago by appearing together on stage during Usher’s performance in Jamaica, many have questioned whether or not the duo are planning to take their act on tour.

Although producer Bryan-Michael Cox tempted fans by dropping “some exclusive [expletive]” that Brown and Usher were going to tour, he later tweeted that he didn’t know that information for sure. (“It would be dope, tho[ugh],” Cox added.)

Brown also fueled the speculation by tweeting, “What would you guys say if me and Usher went on tour?”

But according to Usher’s camp, this is all just talk – for now, at least. “There are no plans at this time for Usher and Chris Brown to tour together,” reps for the 31-year-old singer said. Brown’s reps said ditto with the statement: “There is no confirmed Chris Brown and Usher tour at this time.”

Perhaps they’re just waiting to see how badly fans want it. Brown tweeted Wednesday, “Would you pay to see an Usher and Chris Brown concert/tour,” followed by, “RT #CBUSHERTOUR if u want it to happen.” Lo and behold, at the time of this posting, #cbushertour was a trending topic.

What do you think – yay or nay to the thought of a C. Breezy/Usher tour?

Usher To Take The Stage At Daytona Beach’s ‘American Music Festival’

The Community Cultural Foundation says the Ocean Center Arena in Daytona Beach will soon host its biggest headlining performers in years.

The organization said the Ocean Center, which is designed to seat about 9,000 people, will host “Yeah” singer Usher and Disney stars Jonas Brothers.

The festival is set to host 20 free concerts over five days, from Sept. 1 through Sept. 5.

The organization was encouraged by the festival’s kick-off, which was hosted by the oldest Jonas, Kevin and headlined by the band Lifehouse.

“We were all very impressed by the initial kick-off of this event hosted a few weeks ago, which was attended by 8,000 people,” Daytona Beach Mayor Glenn Ritchey said in a news release.”"This event is at the core of our reintroducing Daytona Beach to residents and visitors alike”.

Usher is set to take the stage on Sept. 3, just after the expected release of his upcoming album “The Final Chapter of Raymond Vs. Raymond.”

The Jonas Brothers, comprised of Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas, plus guest Demi Lovato, will close out the festival on September 5 as part of a special stop on their world tour.

Usher Performs In Beijing, China

The U.S. R&B sensation Usher has brought down the house in Beijing’s Wukesong Arena.

In his first ever China concert, Usher entertained fans with some of his biggest hits over the years, including “You Make Me Wanna”, “Nice & Slow”, “You Remind Me”, “Caught Up”, “Burn”, “Love in This Club” and “Yeah”.

But the absolute highlight of the night was when Usher and Mandopop singer Lee-Hom Wang sang a Chinese song together. The song is a signature piece from Wang called “My One and Only”.

“What made me happier was that after he got in touch with me, we talked about what we could do together. I said to him, ‘As your honored guest, my responsibility is to make this concert very impressive, trying to impress music fans in Beijing, in China. Then I asked him ‘Would you like to sing a Chinese song?’ And he said ‘yes’ right away. I think it demonstrates Usher’s openness. He is willing to learn Chinese, and I believe the whole audience did go crazy the moment he started to sing in Chinese.”

Usher is also very happy about the collaboration, adding that he came to China because he knows there’s an audience here. In fact, almost all the tickets for his concert were grabbed in just one week.

“Thank you so much for your support. I am really happy to be here and perform for the first time here. You know, I am really excited.”

Usher and Wang also sang an English song together – Usher’s current No.1 megahit, “OMG”. Wang says their collaboration means a lot.

“I think this is a very good interaction. What’s more, I am wearing this red, Chinese traditional coat today, because I attach great importance to this collaboration. I think it means a lot symbolically and it will be historical.”
