One Chance Signs With T-Pain
Here’s an interview with One Chance. They have recently signed with T-Pain’s record company Nappy Boy Records. For those of you who don’t remember or know of Usher’s former group, one of their videos “Look At Her” is below. And did he say Usher’s not “real” ? Hmmm, I wonder what that’s all about. I for one loved their music, but with all of that @$%& they had to say, their music better be bangin’.

Reason For Usher Album Delay?
From the Daily News:
Hey, Usher, better late than never! We hear the crooner has had his latest CD, which was supposed to be released Sunday, pushed back until March 30. Why the delay? A source at the “Confessions” singer’s record company says Jive Records refused to put Usher’s album out until he signs with a new management firm. Apparently the crooner and his mother — and former manager– Jonetta Patton are officially on the outs and severed their professional ties in late November 2009.
“She walked away from the project because Usher had his girlfriend [and former Def Jam executive] Grace Miguel was all in the mix,” says the source.
“She felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship,” continues the source. Usher had apparently declared that he would manage himself, with the help of Miguel, but the label felt that “there was chaos in the camp.” Jive has released three singles in an attempt to launch the CD “Raymond vs. Raymond.” The first single, “Papers,” which was released last September, only reached No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100, so the label began working two more new singles, “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” and “More.” But there may be hope for the singer yet: It appears Usher is close to signing an agreement with AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips, manager for Lionel Richie, Toni Braxton and the late Michael Jackson. In fact, Usher was spotted sitting at Phillip’s table at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy bash. Just as Usher’s career may be looking up, it appears his love life is, too. Our source says that despite Usher’s attempts to downplay his romantic involvement with Miguel, the former Def Jam exec also was by Usher’s side during Grammy weekend in L.A. The two were spotted “holding hands,” and Usher was seen “gently caressing her back” when he thought no one was looking at L.A. Reid’s post-Grammy party at the L.A. restaurant Cecconi’s.

PETA to Usher: Don’t Replace Those Coats
Usher lost a couple fur coats when items were lifted from his SUV before Christmas. According to PETA, those coats do not need to be replaced (in other words why should another animal die for you!)…
“”When it comes to these coats, you’re not the first victim,” PETA wrote in a letter to Usher. “The animals who were beaten, electrocuted, or drowned for those coats – the original owners – are the real victims. Please pledge to be fur-free.”
“You would be in great company! Other compassionate folks who refuse to wear real fur include Eva Mendes, Charlize Theron, Michelle Obama… and Nia Long, just to name a few. We’d be thrilled to add your name to the list.”
No word on Usher’s response….. Mario on the other hand, has pledged ‘Ink Not Mink”.
From Peta.org:
This is my confession, Usher. When I read that you’d fallen victim to a robbery over the holiday season, I felt bad for you. Someone ripped off your unreleased music and you lost more than $1 million in jewelry! Tough blow. But I hope you realize that you weren’t the only victim. Considering that the original owners of the fur coats stolen from your car—the animals—were probably skinned alive, I’d say you got off lucky.
Instead of stealing other animals’ skins, I’d love to see you make a donation we can all benefit from. It’s been three months since Glee’s “Confessions”-”It’s My Life” mash-up, and we’re dying for more.
So, to sum: Glee donations = good, fur = bad. Robbery = hassle, being skinned alive = horrific. I hope that you will listen when we urge you not to replace the fur coats and to take our pledge to be fur-free.
After all, they call you U-S-H-E-R R-A-Y-M-O-N-D—it would be great if we could call you C-O-M-P-A-S-S-I-O-N-A-T-E.
Usher Urges Youth To Help Earthquake-Ravaged Haiti
Upon hearing the news of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, singer and philanthropist Usher Raymond IV is requesting help from the world’s youth.
“I am devastated by the news in Haiti and am calling for youth worldwide to support and offer assistance to the millions of people in that area that are in dire need,” Usher said. “I am currently working with Usher’s New Look, my non-profit organization, to figure out the most effective means of help. I also know that young men and women have asked the same question — ‘How can I help?’ ”
Usher believes that everyone can do something to help people in Haiti.
“With Haiti in a state of emergency right now, young people do have the power to save lives,” he explained. “I am asking young people of all ages to mobilize by organizing local fundraisers with the proceeds going to their peers in Haiti. This is one way we all can make a difference.”
