King of Pop Michael Jackson could soon be the King of the big screen too after new plans to turn his life into a movie!

According to Variety, John Branca, the executor of the Jackson estate, has reportedly approached Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock’s Montecito Picture Company about taking his incredible journey to Hollywood.

And while we’re stoked at the idea of a Jacko biopic, we could have a pretty long wait in store…

According to Variety, talks to produce and finance the project are still in the early stages but there’s said to be “no deal” in place yet.

But, if it does work out, just who would be worthy of filling the singer’s famous moon-walking shoes?

Well, according to Gigwise, the favorites so far include heartthrob Johnny Depp, smooth-mover Usher, singer-turned-actor Will Smith, ‘High School Musical’ cutie Zac Efron and star Justin Timberlake.

Usher has recently begun to shoot scenes for his upcoming role in the big screen flick “Killers” (2010) starring Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Tom Selleck, and Catherine O’Hara.
